Things I’m Loving Lately {February}

February sashayed in with some actual real-life sunshine, so I already feel like we were off on a winner pretty early on. Of course, it never lasts too long (Why does it never last too long? šŸ™ ) But still, I’m chalking it up as an improvement on January nonetheless.

How was your month? Good, I hope?

In miniature Dachshund news, Ernie nearly gave me a heart attack last week by taking off across a neighbouring field. It took a good twenty minutes to find him and wrestle him home again. We’ve definitely hit the ASBO puppy stage and his penance is to only be allowed out on the lead from now on. My nerves really can’t take the disappearing acts. There were full on tears and everything, all while he bounded happily through the long grass, ears flying.

Time. Of. His. Life.

If anyone fancies a kamikaze pup, you know where to find me.

I jest. I think. No, I do. Maybe… šŸ˜‰

This month I’ve been loving…

I was invited into store by the lovely guys at Molton Brown this month. They are launching a new scent range in the run up to Mother’s Day, and treated me to the most gorgeous hand and arm massage at their Forestside store. You can book your own complimentary treatment using whichever range you wish, and I particularly loved how they can match the body range to compliment your existing perfume. Dewy Lily of the Valley and Star Anise was matched to my Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede, and it was such a perfect combination.

I was so impressed by the products on offer and I’d definitely recommend a trip into store, just to see the Spring windows if nothing else. They are beyond pretty!

I’m so excited for the weather to warm up so we can just ditch the coats already. I get so complacent (boring) about my clothes in these late Winter months, as who actually sees them anyway?! I’m bundled under my Ultra Light Down and hat most of the time and, I never thought I’d actually say it, but I’m looking forward to maybe styling my hair once in a while as the Spring rolls round. šŸ˜‰

A few of my more exciting choices this month!

Pinafore : ASOS

Cardigan : H&M (In store)

Top : ZARA

Shorts : ZARA

We got these brilliant fleece blankets in IKEA, back when we first got Ernie and they’re still going strong and saving the sofa from all puppy mishaps. I think they were £3 each, or something ridiculous like that, but have been the best investment ever!

And I was given this beautiful vintage tea set by Andrew’s aunt a few weeks ago. It is so pretty and I’ve been making full use of it for little flowers. If you saw my cupboards -honestly, it’s like a treasure-trove of collected crockery and jars and pots in there. My inner hoarder comes out with china!

I’m totally obsessed with sorbet this month, and have been really loving Sainsbury’s raspberry one in particular. I figure that it’s low calorie and low fat too, so I can maybe be justified in eating it most days then? šŸ˜‰ Better than my usual Haagen Daaz love-in anyway!

And we were invited to try out the new family offering at Fratelli  in the city last weekend. The Little Boars menu allows the kids to build their own pizza at the table before it’s whisked away and cooked for them. Our three loved it and our adult food was amazing too (I had chilli prawn linguine and it was everything! šŸ™‚ ) We’ll definitely be back!

And that was February with us!  Here’s to a March of Spring sunshine, Spring flowers and safe sausage dogs.

Fingers crossed!

E x

A lovely early Spring round up Emma! We love the food at Fratelli’s too – anywhere that keeps the littlies entertained is always a winner for me! And I adore your idea of arranging posies in vintage teacups – must dust off my great-grandmother’s set now šŸ™‚

Love looking at your photos. Always so fresh and beautiful. We have an escape-artist for a pup too. Gosh he’s so naughty. Sometimes disappears for hours on end, returning as though butter wouldn’t melt. Argh! x x

Lilies are the flower of the season I think! I much prefer them to roses. So perky!

I’m loving your fashion style…I’m still in my inbetween clothes (that and I have no time to look presentable with a 6mth old!)

Thanks for hosting this fabulous linky darling xx
