little bits from around home…

I feel like it has been a little while since I wrote a catch-up post and I have so many snaps from these past few weeks that are hanging out in my gallery and waiting to be shared.  Today is as good a day as any, right?

I feel like February has passed in a blink and we’ve turned the corner somewhat, in terms of the darkest and coldest days of Winter.  Life over here has been hectic as ever, but we have some really exciting things coming up in the next few weeks that I’m so looking forward to sharing with you.  Things are busy and good, and I’m very thankful for it all!

Some pictures!

^^  Eva has started to make us pancakes every Sunday morning and it’s becoming quite the little tradition!  She is so good at it and we’re loving the whole B&B experience that the weekends bring. 😉  She uses this recipe (which makes the fluffiest ones ever!) if you’re interested.

Spring flowers are my absolute favourites, particularly if they are paired with eucalyptus.  I’ve been filling little pots and jars with pale roses, tulips, ranunculus and anemones and dotting them around our home.  A little goes a long way, and if you can buy them by the stem it can be really cost effective too!

^^  The gang!  They’ve been keeping me on my toes this half term.  Typically it coincided with a particularly busy work week for me, so I’ve been hustling like you wouldn’t believe.  There has been a lot of TV, a LOT of bickering and a lot of bribery too, but we’ve still managed a pretty fun week nonetheless.  I’m shattered but what’s new really! 😉

^^  Toast and jam just can’t be beat! 🙂

^^  For those of you that were disappointed at missing out on the pink jacket, I just discovered that Primark have a virtually identical one in this season!  I feel like I always miss out on the bargains – the same thing happened with my leopard print boots in the Autumn!  And these sunnies are my new favourites.  You can find them here!

I’m loving that it’s a little milder these days.  Super excited for proper Spring weather and everything ahead of us this Summer.  February, you’ve been a good one!

Hope you’ve had a lovely week!

E x

Love the pics all very spring like. We have pancake Sundays too. My mum makes the flat French crepes and I do the American ones so we alternate, kids love it.

Such beautiful photos, as always! I also feel like the worst of winter is over. It is really starting to feel a bit more springy with every day that passes! I’m also filling my house with blooms at the moment, I feel like it keeps my mood happy!
P.s. That’s the pancake recipe I use every Sunday, it really is the best :).

So much prettiness – in the flowers and the people I’ll be checking out the pancake recipe – I’m on the hunt for a fluffy one xx

Gorgeous photos emma. I love you always have fresh flowers in your home. They are so pretty. I wish we had a better market near us to get nice ones it’s usually the same tulips, roses, or carnations to choose from. Kids are growing up so quickly. I can’t believe how mature they all look it’s been too long. Can’t wait to see you over Easter holidays soon. 🙂
