We recently redecorated our upstairs, and in doing so changed a lot of the décor in the kids bedrooms. Noah’s moved from being very nautical themed to having more of a neutral, natural vibe. I wanted something that would grow with them all over the next few years, and something that we could adapt easily to their changing tastes too.
Until we have a dedicated guest room (we’re planning this for our loft in the long term!) we use Noah’s room when we have visitors, and this means that both he and Annie come for sleepovers in our bedroom instead. We’ve been looking for a little set-up that we could easily transport (and store!) for a while now. A way to ensure they’re comfy, and also have all their associated teddies / toys / books as well. You know the bedtime score, right? 😉
When Verbaudet asked me to take a look at their bedroom range I headed straight for storage and bedding, and it made a great excuse for a practice sleepover too!
We chose a floor cushion (sadly out of stock!) and paired it with this floral quilt in the prettiest colours. How nice would this be on the end of a little girl’s bed too? Annie and Noah picked the softest cotton pyjamas (perfect for this humid weather we’re having right now!) and we filled this pretty tin chest and rope storage basket with all their slumber party essentials, milk and cookies included!
Eva has her eye on the storage chest for her own bedroom and I’m thinking I’m going to have to buy another one to keep the peace. Also in pink here and red here. I think a couple of these stacked together would look so lovely in a playroom or bedroom. Tonnes of storage too!
We are set for Summer holiday sleepovers and lazy mornings spent playing in bedrooms. And when the end of the day comes we’ve lots of places to store all the toys and creations.
Happy kids, happy Mama, eh? 🙂
