christmas is coming!

I know it’s still a way off, but in the world of interiors November is crunch time for shouting about festive style.  (I mean, who am I trying to kid?  I’ve been burning the festive candles since September. 😉 If only I was so organised on the shopping front!)

Whether you’re a super prepared, or last minute Christmas planner, these coming weeks are all about thinking towards others and about feathering your nest for the holiday period too.

Recently the folks at Matalan got in touch to ask me to be a part of their Christmas Hacks project, designed to take the stress out of your festive season, whilst also promoting their #getyourstripes campaign in association with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Charity.

The essence of the campaign is, I guess, about getting back to basics this Christmas.  Removing the pressure from preparations as much as possible and spending more time relaxing with loved ones.  You can find my top tips for easy Christmas tree decorating, along with ideas for gift wrapping, table settings and much more over at Matalan now.

And what to do with any spare minutes you’ll maybe have left in the run up to the big day itself?  Well, 100% of profits from all Matalan/Alder Hey stripey pyjamas and accessories are donated to the Alder Hey campaign this season.  So, I reckon that’s a perfect excuse to embrace the spirit of giving over these coming weeks.  And to lounge in style at every opportunity too!
