What we Wear {Spring Adventures}

I know I wax lyrical about it all the time, but we really are fortunate to live in a place where nowhere is ever very far away. We’re surrounded by beautiful countryside, while also being close to the sea, the mountains and the city, and it makes for the perfect weekend adventures. As the Spring rolls around, our favourite thing to do is pack up the car and head off for the day, and we’re feeling the benefit of it even more, now that we have Ernie too.

He’s a pup that likes to travel! 🙂

This weekend past the weather was mild and kind. It has been so long since we could last say that, that I’d almost forgotten what it’s like to plan something outdoors and actually be able to follow through. More of this in the coming weeks please, please, please (and particularly for the Easter holidays if you can, Mr Weatherman!)

Some pictures of our travels!

WEARING

Me : WATERMELON FAYDA PARKA

Andrew : INK RIGGER COAT

We visited beautiful Castlewellan Forest Park on Saturday, and Castle Ward Estate on Sunday, and spent all day basking in fresh air and the odd glimpse of Spring sunshine.  I always feel like the new season has definitely arrived when we can make the switch from thick Winter coats over to lighter rain macs, and we managed it at last!

Brand new local brand Lighthouse Clothing sent Andrew and I these gorgeous coats to start off our Spring wardrobes and we absolutely love them.  They are the perfect weight for the milder days ahead, and we’re totally set for the NI Summer too – rain showers and all!  I’ve spent all Winter in dark colours and woolly hats, and it felt so lovely to put on my brights this weekend.  It’s amazing the difference it can make to your mood!  I’m excited to pack mine for more days away in the coming months, as well as weekends by the lakes and at the sea.  The guys at Lighthouse know how to do outdoors, and are also totally in tune with the temperamental UK weather.  There’s no such thing as a season without coats over here, and we’re delighted to have such beautiful ones to don.

You can also check out their children’s range here, and my other favourite, the Beachcomber here!

See you later Winter, won’t miss you one little bit! 🙂

E x

Thanks so much to Lighthouse Clothing for partnering with us and inspiring some adventurous spirit this Spring!

    Gorgeous photos, Em! Love the colours of your coat. And you’ve got the Mr modelling!!! I daren’t show this to my husband. He keeps telling me that the number one way to grow my blog is to feature him more. I’m really not quite sure about that, though 😉

      We really giggled at that full length shot of him but I had to include it. Such a catalogue pose! 🙂 He’s ten times better at the modelling than I am! Ha! Xx
