As a total disclaimer for this post I’d really just like to say that:
A. I still feel utterly awkward taking outfit pictures (I have camera issues for sure! 🙂 ) Also, I feel like I should really be having proper pictures, rather than dodgy selfies in my smudgey mirror? But then there’s the time thing. And the having to bribe Eva/ Mr M with Jelly Babies thing. What can I say guys, I’m keeping it real.
B. I am in no way sponsored by Zara, New Look or Boden (I knew you were wondering!)
C. This Ernie one is definitely not as angelic as he looks. I feel like we’re maybe keeping Dettol in business this week. But he’s cute so, there’s that. 🙂
Anyhow, how are things with you?
Thank you so much if you are local and have already bought a ticket for Let’s Shop! I’m delighted to say that they are selling so quickly and together we’ve already raised lots of money for NI Hospice. Everyone obviously loves Avoca as much as I do!
I’ve honestly been so nervous about arranging this whole event. People have been just lovely, and so very supportive, but there’s always a niggley part of my brain that screams WHAT ARE YOU DOING WOMAN!! 🙂
You know how it is.
I’m silencing those thoughts gradually, with every ticket that sells, so thank you, thank you, thank you if you have chosen to come and support. It is such a very worthy, and wonderful, cause.
There are still a few tickets left and you can contact me on email@example.com if you’d like some, or for more details.
Ernie has found his voice this week and it’s totally cracking us up to see the things that he barks at. (Footballs, old boots and aeroplanes mostly!) I’m sure in time he’ll be putting my head away with it, but right now it’s hilarious. He definitely has big dog mentality, even though he’s the actual size of a weasel. 🙂
And tumble dryer ball thingys are the BEST EVER you guys! Up there with kitchen roll tubes and me leaving the room and coming back in again two minutes later.
I wish my little three were so easily humoured.
If only he didn’t pee on the floor though… :/
We’re working on it!
Mr M and I were kindly asked to a private event at The Fitzwilliam Hotel last weekend.
I’m never too sure whether I’m altogether trendy enough for these kind of things but, you know, it was actually really lovely. The theme was ‘Fall for New York’ and the foyer was decorated so beautifully with golden trees and leaves, pumpkins and twinkly lights.
We were served mini hotdogs and burgers, pretzels, and the most amazing salted caramel donuts to accompany our cocktails, and entertained by a DJ with live trumpet accompaniment.
It was all a bit fancy and definitely not our usual Friday night routine!
Going ‘out out’ outfit. 😉
My shorts are from ASOS (last year) and ombre cashmere jumper is from Boden (the Ivory/Lavender is sold out but a pink version is available here)
PS. In our haste to get out of the house before our babysitter came to her senses, we totally forgot the camera. You’ll have to just trust me that the event was really amazing. I sometimes wonder how I found myself getting invited to these sort of things!
I’m still really enjoying taking pictures of my crazies at our wall each weekend. Partly to document what they’re wearing (I have a kids style post coming later this week!) and partly for me to just see how much they are changing over a number of weeks. All three of them wear school uniform all week now, so it’s nice to record the weekend looks too!
The outtakes also really make me laugh!
I hope you’re having a great week everyone!
