Five things for the Weekend…

I’ve so many little bits to share with you this week, and I really hope that these posts aren’t coming across as too random and rambley.
If ever there was a sentence that summed me up… ๐Ÿ˜‰

First up, a new business!
When I first started blogging I never really imagined that I’d connect with so many lovely people through it. I mean, I know I’m normal(ish!) but people meeting ‘online’? Well, you’re never too sure, are you?
But honestly, I’ve made such firm friends because of it and my local blogging buddies (Avril, Karen, Nic, Karen, Debs, Rebecca, Mel) are some of the loveliest ladies I know.
And Emma! You might know her better from her blog Adventures of an Unfit Mother and, although she’s retired it now, it’s so worth checking back through the old posts of this award nominated gem.
She is down to earth, hilarious, and just one of the sweetest people I think I have ever met.
She’s recently started her own greetings card business, and I really wanted to share it with you as I just love so many of her designs. She has totally encapsulated the Irish sense of humour, as well as expressing so many sentiments that just aren’t covered by other card companies.

I particularly love her #bodylove range and the notion of promoting positivity about body image. And this little Pride and Prejudice quote is going straight on my office wall. I love it!
You can find her full range at Leopard Print Cards.

It has really been far too warm for them this week, but I’ve been really loving my polo neck jumpers. These fine knit ribbed ones are so affordable and come in a great range of colours.

Also, if you’re on, definitely check out New Look for skirts at the moment too. There are so many gorgeous ones and they are half the price of similar styles in other high street stores!

In the spirit of Autumn fashion, I’m really excited to tell you about Story Horse, a new accessories brand made locally. I was delighted to be invited to their launch last night and really loved absolutely everything! The Autumn/Winter range is based around the premise of ‘chilly days out and cosy nights in’, and my favourite picks were the sweet cable knit bobble hats, scarves and mittens. The homeware is so beautiful too, and I’m currently lusting after this blanket, a little hot water bottle cover and these amazing knitted socks. That’s one perfect cosy night in, right there!

You can get 15% off the full range until 15th November, using the code LAUNCH15

I’m in the process of putting together a vintage style Alice in Wonderland themed party for Eva’s tenth birthday at the moment. I’m going to do a full blog post on it in a couple of weeks time, and I’m collaborating with Laura Ashley on a piece for their blog too (I’ll keep you posted when that’s out!)
I ordered these little Sophie Allport notecards and customised them for invites. I just adore them and they’ve set the tone for the whole party style. I’m excited to show you!

And lastly, another gentle reminder about Let’s Shop! We are not far off being fully booked but there are still a few tickets left so please do get in touch if you’d like one. I’d really love to see you there!
You can reserve your place by contacting me

Have a great weekend everyone!
