Glorious Autumn, hey?
I’m really feeling it this past week and have been monitoring the colour change on the little wood trees daily. I can never really pinpoint that moment that everything turns golden, but as soon as I get a sense of it, it’ll be time for apple crumbles and spiced lattes, gloves, hats and maybe a new scarf.
I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to hat season again. I feel like life is that little bit simpler when you can remove the hair fixing portion of your day! 🙂
I love those mornings when you can see your breath in the air and feel the chill. We are already experiencing them over here, due in part to living in the middle of open countryside, and part to being outside so early with Ernie. There’s something very lovely about those peaceful moments, and the way the sunlight hits the copper trees as it rises. My favourite way to spend them is wrapped up in cosy layers with a cup of tea in my hand and a fluffy companion by my side. Even better if my little family join me too!
Some pictures of our Saturday morning, if you’d like to see…
Target Dry recently sent us these gorgeous coats to keep us cosy on Autumn dog walks. They definitely do the trick, and I’ve been wearing mine for the schoolrun, ferrying the kids to after school clubs, and everything in between.
They make stepping outside on those sleepy, frosty mornings that little bit more appealing, and I’m finding the hood invaluable for rainy mornings too. I think Ernie might quite like to get in there with me, going by how he tries to climb up me when it’s wet.
I think he’s a crisp, Autumn morning kinda guy too.
He’s going to fit right in here then! 🙂
