Better late than never, right?
I’m currently sat munching my way through some leftover Easter chocolate and thought it was high time that I got my March favourites put together. The holidays have thrown me totally, and I’ve been really struggling to get motivated. It’s life in the fast lane with kids, isn’t it? There’s not a lot of headspace for anything else. (Plus, we’ve been obsessed with TV dramas in the evenings at the moment. We literally watched all five episodes of Thirteen in two days – amazing! And we are loving Undercover and Line of Duty now too. Hello Middle Age. Ha! 😉 )
This month I’ve been loving…
I was using this Essie Gel Setter polish just today and can’t believe I didn’t think to mention it before, as it’s a total game changer guys! I’ve tried many a top coat in the past but this is my out and out favourite. It dries super shiny and stops chipping for a good five days. With having Ernie now, I wash my hands pretty much constantly at the moment, and this has really been helping my nail colour last the distance. Definitely recommend it!
I’m dying for it to warm up a little so that we can all start to wear a few more Spring like pieces! It was so grim last weekend that I found myself right back in my hat and Winter coat again. April is all about the schizophrenic weather it would seem. I’m not loving it!
Breton : BODEN
Pinafore: TOPSHOP (An oldie, but try THIS one as an alternative!)
Name Necklace : STANLEY AND MAUD
Blouse : MANGO (I wear it back to front!)
Skirt : WAREHOUSE
I’m just longing to be able to tidy up a little outside at the moment, and in particular for it to be pot planting time! In reality, the bunnies devastate most of what we plant out, but we’re hoping that Ernie might help them keep their distance a little more this Summer. (Not entirely confident on that one. They are beyond cheeky!)
Anyway, until we’re certain that the frost won’t ruin everything first, I’ve been focusing on nature indoors instead. Everything in pink has been cheering me up through March, particularly the prettiest Ranunculus – I just adore how beautiful they look, like little Spring time Peonies! – and the most fragrant lilac tinged roses. Summer in a pot!
Picnics! Outdoor ones, car boot ones, and playroom ones too – it’s amazing how much kids will eat when you add a bit of excitement to it, isn’t it? We’ve just decided now that we have to get on with things, regardless of the weather, and so we’re working hard at perfecting the art of picnicking in all conditions. I’ll keep you posted on how that one goes! 😉
I hope you had the loveliest March everyone! We have been dipping our toes into the whole vlogging thing over the last couple of weeks too, and I’m hoping to share that with you all in the next little while. I totally still hate my voice on camera, and how I look, and basically everything, but I’m not kidding when I tell you that it’s making Noah’s absolute LIFE to be on film! 🙂 It’s his greatest ambition to be a Youtuber, and he even asked me the other day to film his Lego Dimensions game unboxing. What does that even mean??
I’ve a lot to learn you guys, and apparently my eight year old is going to be the one to teach me! 🙂 Thankful, as always, for the insights of our mini experts!
Ps. Due to the fact that I’m utterly rubbish at finding precious time to catch up with linked posts, I’ve decided to call time on TILL as a Linky. I just feel really bad not commenting when people go to the effort of linking up, and the weeks just seem to completely escape me at the moment. Thank you so much for continuing to support LATLW though, I really, really do appreciate it! xx
