our bar cart {a quick tour!}

We got our bar cart a few weeks ago now and I’ve been excited to show it to you properly ever since. We opted for this one in the end (after MUCH deliberation. I just kept coming back to this as my favourite!) and always had this spot in our hallway in mind for it. I think, being round and quite petite that it just fits perfectly in this space. We’d never really had the right thing for here and I keep telling Andrew that it was waiting for it all along. He’s obviously a big fan of that theory. 😉

I thought I’d share today where I got all our cocktail paraphernalia from, and also just show you around, in case you’re feeling a bar trolley in your future too!

I picked up these little glasses and this decanter recently and love the gold foil work on them, particularly the splatter print. We have a bit of a cactus theme going on here too, with cactus glassware and this sweet little trivet from H&M. I also added this gold tray after realising that the marble top on our trolley water marks quite easily. It does polish out, but I decided to take no chances when pouring drinks, particularly coloured ones!

All of our other glasses were picked up really inexpensively at IKEA. I particularly love the cut glass ones for that sweet vintage feel. I think they’d be perfect for serving my Moscato Strawberry Lemonade. I also got a jug a little while ago for making larger batches of it!

Our cocktail shaker is from M&S and I went for this one because of the pretty glass and gold top. To be honest it’s probably not the best in terms of functionality (we have a good plastic one that we picked up in Sainsbury’s!) but it sure does look the part.

An Instagram friend told me about this recipe book and I had to get it. I love that all the cocktails in it have a story behind them and a literary twist. Cocktails and literature – it was made for me! 🙂

We’ve been experimenting with lots of new recipes (and some mocktails for the kiddos too!) since we brought our cart home. You can check out our …

Moscato Strawberry Lemonade

Raspberry Blush Cocktail

Blueberry Mojito Royale

And keep your eyes peeled for our ginger honeycomb gin recipe coming soon. It’s literally the best!

    Love it!! Although you can tell that your little ones aren’t quite so little anymore if you’re able to have it out on display. Can just imagine the carnage my pair (1 and 3) could do with it! Banked for future reference though x

    I love this bar idea and space hunny. The gold is perfect. Where did you get the actual bar stand from I couldn’t find it in the post just seeing if they did a copper/rose gold one by chance as we were looking for something similar in a different color? Your drink recipes have been amazing. Keep them coming!!! Always nice for entertaining. Can’t wait to see you on the 14th – check your whats app!!! 🙂 xoxo
