I thought I’d put a quick post together today to share some of my favourite things from the last few weeks. I’m such a one for gathering things up over months and then sharing them when they’re out of stock or no longer available, and I know how frustrating that can be if you spy something you really like. I used to post monthly on my favourites and I’m really considering bringing it back. What do you think? Or maybe as an Insta-stories feature? I’m keen to hear your opinions!
Anyhow, February was a bit of a tough month for me, but March has dawned much brighter. We’re just back from the best trip to Granada with Airbnb (a post is in the works. Watch this space!) We were taking part in a really exciting photo and video shoot for a new family campaign that they’re launching. It was such an experience and, although a good eighty percent rainy, we still had the best time exploring such a beautiful city. I’m excited to record it for the memory book!
So, recent favourites! Here we go!
I’ve a few things to note on the beauty front this month. I did a little Duty Free shopping while we were waiting on our flight out, and invested in this gorgeous Chloe perfume first of all. It’s not often that I’m unfaithful to my Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede, but its large bottle makes it difficult to carry when travelling. This dinky little bottle is the perfect size and the scent is really gorgeous too. It reminds me of a garden in summer, or of Jasmine lined courtyards in the South of France. Delicate and very pretty.
I’ve heard a lot about the new Dior lip scrub recently and it had been on my wish list for a while. I have super dry and flaky lips after my Roaccutane treatment (even a year on they still aren’t back to normal!) and the idea of having a lip balm and a scrub in one seemed genius to me. It is completely worth the hype and the granita style scrub just dissolves into your lips after use. No wiping off or messy texture. It’s also slightly tinted and designed to react to your natural lip colour for a ‘your lips but better’ look. Oh, and it smells like sweets too. Always a bonus! 🙂
I’ve also been loving my Real Techniques Bold Metals powder brush this month too. It’s beautiful to look at of course, but also has the softest bristles, and the tapered handle is really tactile and aesthetically pleasing too. I’m definitely keen to invest in more brushes from the range.
On the fashion front, this little bag is my absolute favourite thing this month. Mini picnic baskets for life! 🙂 I wore it in Spain (you may have seen on Insta-stories) and I’m excited to wear it more here as the weather warms up and I start to use more of my Spring clothes. It comes with two handles – a tan leather-look one and also a gold chain one – so you can change the look of it according to the occasion. If ever there was a bag that summed me up, this is it guys!
I bought Andrew this little Crosley record player for his birthday and we’ve been really enjoying it so far. Eva has one up in her bedroom, but it’s lovely to be able to play our own vinyls in an adult space too. We’re currently loving Ed Sheeran’s Divide, and have it on repeat most days (such a cool album sleeve too!)
Hope you are having a lovely week so far. Back soon with some pictures from Spain!
